department. You will focus on measuring the effects of market alterations on the business, and make suggestions to limit their impact, as well

Product Development Actuary � Retirement & Savings

As part of the product development team, you will be responsible for the actuarial modelling and input into the product development and
pricing operation, and play a key role in the development of new and innovative products within the UK Retirement & Savings business.
More specifically this will include:
� Research and development of pricing models for pension and investment products in the UK market
� Lead and participate in all aspects of both new product development and enhancement of existing products, as directed by the Head of
Product
� Monitor and evaluate the profitability and experience of the various product lines
� Keep abreast of new and emerging developments from a technical and non-technical perspective that will benefit MetLife and its
products
Ideally, you will be either be qualified or very close to qualification, with good relevant experience and knowledge of the pensions and
investment market in the UK, with a particular focus on unit-linked pension products. Previous pricing and product development experience
in a UK life company is highly desirable. This role would suit a candidate with experience or a demonstrable desire to work in the variable
annuities market, who also has a proven ability to present and display information and products at all levels from Chief Operating Officer to
distribution staff.
This is a unique opportunity to join and help grow a new business in the UK. The potential scope of this role is as wide as the successful
candidate is willing and able to take on, and will offer exposure to a wide spectrum of experiences outside traditional actuarial functions.
