Actuarial modeling and IT
system expertise required
Several of our clients have just embarked on a number
of large projects. As a result they are seeking a
number of additional qualified and part-qualified
actuaries with specific IT system and/or Modeling
experience. These temporary contract roles include:
Moses Modeling
Several experienced Moses modelers required to help develop
a number of stochastic and deterministic models as part of an
overall Programme of work. A minimum of 2 years Moses
expertise is required to apply for this role.
Actuarial System and Data Experts
A major outsourcing contract has resulted in the need for an
additional number of staff who have a good understanding of
Actuarial systems and data migration including valuation extracts.
DB Scheme experience
A Life Assurer with a significant interest in DB Pension Scheme
buy-outs requires candidates with significant DB Scheme
experience and ideally 2 years experience of Prophet. The work
will be to support a number of DB Pension Scheme Valuations.

The Role
Due to increased business development Genworth Financial require a qualified
Actuary to lead the overall actuarial and pricing support of the rollout of the
retirement & protection products within the company's international sector.
The Pricing Lead will report directly to the International Business Development
Director and be a vital member of the Senior Management team.
This is a great opportunity to be part of a new business in a client facing position.
You will be expected to develop the marketing, product and pricing models
throughout the business. This will include performing actuarial and pricing
assumptions for the product line whilst co-coordinating the hedging strategies
and supporting the assessment of product portfolio features across Europe.
The Candidate
This position would be ideal for someone who has a very strong life or investments
background and a strong understanding of UK/European markets and distribution
methodologies. Proven experience in financial services is preferred; specifically in the
life and pensions market. Exposure and an understanding of UK/European Markets
and actuarial skills set leveraging specific US/Europe product SME's would
be beneficial. Variable annuities experience is also desirable although not essential.
