The BBC Pension Scheme is recognised as one of the top salary related, occupational pension schemes in the UK. It has assets of
around �8.5bn, all of which are managed by external investment managers across a range of different asset classes worldwide.
We are looking for someone to join our current team consisting of two investment specialists, Head of Pension Investments and
Manager, Pension Investments. You'll be responsible for managing and monitoring the ongoing relationship with some of the scheme's
13 external equity, bond and property investment managers and direct investment in alternative assets. In addition, you'll be involved in
the selection of new investment managers and this is likely to be extended into the alternative asset space in due course. Over time,
you'll also be expected to become involved in other aspects of the investment management of a complex pension scheme.
You should ideally have a qualification in accountancy, actuarial practice or investment and a proven track record in investment
management or treasury management. You'll be able to demonstrate a keen and authoritative interest in pension scheme investments
and financial markets in general. What's more, you'll need excellent written and verbal communication skills, as you'll be required to
write clear and concise reports as well as explain clearly complex issues to the Investment Committee.

The Government Actuary's Department (GAD) is an independent actuarial consultancy

We are now seeking up to two qualified actuaries to join its Pensions Team to provide
actuarial consultancy services to clients on all aspects of pensions provision (including
public and private sector clients and overseas clients). To apply, you need to be qualified
with at least one year's post qualification experience.
