in the premier division.
The visitors were leading 1-0 in the 87th
minute when Chris Dorrian fouled
Epping8217s Tommy Brinkman just outside
the box.
Lee Forde headed the ball home from
the resulting free-kick to equalise.
First-half action had seen Josh Coulson
and Chris Bullock both have shots
cleared off the home line before the
deadlock was broken on the hour mark.
A one-two between Bullock and Dean
McAteer preceded the former firing in
from a rebound after Epping keeper
Luke Kingston blocked his initial shot.
Takeley boss Don Watters said: 8220We
played some good stuff for 60 minutes
but after we scored we sat back [and
after their equaliser] they had a free
header they should have scored from at
the end.

all credit to them. They worked very

unable to replicate their Herts
Intermediate Cup form when they lost 2-
1 at fellow strugglers Shell Club
Corringham in the same division.
The hosts went ahead after 20 minutes
from a penalty, awarded after Swifts8217
keeper Pat Yates was adjudged to have
fouled a home player and he was
booked.
Swifts8217 regular stopper Paddy O8217Brien
missed the game as he was on holiday.
Corringham doubled the lead from a
shot on the hour mark.
The visitors halved the deficit on 70
minutes when Stuart Watkins converted
a great Josh Thompson cross.
Robert Banks and Andrew McNaney
were the Corringham goalscorers.
AFC BARNSTON
drew 1-1 at Basildon
Town in senior division two.
James Wackett scored a breakaway goal
to put the hosts ahead on the hour mark
before Barnston equalised five minutes
later. An in-swinging corner from Mark
Gatland managed to beat the home
keeper at his near post.

from a Paul Seymour corner
and then nodding wide.
In between these opportu-
nities, Adam Syrett set up

his effort bounce over the

Clapton8217s best chance fell
to Dave Armstrong just
before the break, but his
shot forced a smart save
from Stansted8217s keeper Matt
Cope.
The frustration continued
for Stansted after the break.
James Haywood set up Dow,
whose fierce effort was bril-
liantly turned away from
goal by Parker on 50 min-
utes.
Shortly after, Walsh and
Ellis came on for Paul
Seymour and Tommy
Spillane in a double substi-
tution.
But it was the visitors
who broke the deadlock and
went ahead on 65 minutes.
Cope blocked a shot
before the ball was played
across for Moses Junju to
shoot home.
It looked like Stansted8217s
good run oflate was about
to end, but super sub Walsh
salvaged a point late on.
Dave Bricknell, Stansted8217s
coach, said: 8220We dominated
the first halfand could have
been 3-0 up at half-time. We
played some very good foot-
ball.
