Launched in July 2006, Kokomo is an emphatic demonstration
of Alloy Yachts' expertise in the construction of exceptional
sailing yachts. The design from Dubois Naval Architects was for
a high performance aluminium sloop with spacious interiors and extensive
accommodation and to this end Kokomo is a stunning success.
Her interiors are simply outstanding and must be seen for their full
impact. Everywhere an exceptional attention to detail raises the bar
on Kokomo. The principal entertainment areas (cockpit, bar, dining
and lounge), all found on the main deck level, offer a layout that has
a more spacious and open feel than almost any yacht of this type.
The principal helm station up on the flybridge provides al fresco
entertainment options with a BBQ, bar, fridge, ice-maker and sink
plus a U-shaped seating around a table.
At 63.4m, the rig is Southern Spars' longest mast to date, one that
easily provides for some fantastic sailing on a yacht built for comfort,
pleasure and all-round yachtsmanship. Above all Kokomo is beautifully
proportioned and easily handled � a high-performance sailing yacht
of such volume and elegance is a very rare thing indeed!
