facilities awaiting you in Heacham, so be sure you make
the most ofthem during your visit.
Both Station Road and High Street are well worth
a browse, and in addition to the regular stores with
all your basic goods, you will find many specialist
businesses that are worth seeking out.
Heacham has many long-established
businesses that pride themselves on the high
level ofservice and expertise that they have
developed over the years and continue to
provide today.
While the High Street provides a good
choice ofshops in a compact area, make
sure you don8217t miss out on Station Road.
It8217s on the way down to the beaches, and as
you travel along it, you will find plenty of
interesting shops, as well as a handy
precinct area with its own parking.
Local business people who feel passionately
about their village, and are seeking to promote
its many benefits for both the resident
population and visitors, have formed the In
Heacham Initiative.
In Heacham8217s main aims are:
9679
The mutual support and benefit ofmembers.
9679
To work together towards enhancement and re-
vitalisation ofHeacham village.
9679
To endeavour to work with other members ofthe community
and its organisations.
9679
To liaise with the local Police and each other on security matters and to
help and protect each other to our best ability.
9679
To welcome new traders to the area and ask them to join the organisation.
8220We feel that the greatest strength a village like Heacham has to offer over other out-
of-town trading is the wealth and quality ofthe personal service that its traders have
to offer, be that in the provision ofgood, personal or professional services, or just a
friendly welcome,8221 said an In Heacham spokesperson.THERE8217S a strong sense ofcommunity in Heacham,

memorials to Pocahontas, the
Native American Indian princess
who married into a Heacham
