Zoom Airlines has introduced a
twice-weekly flight out of Glasgow to
Toronto,aonce-a-weekflighttoCalgary
and an additional non-stop Vancouver
flightonThursdays.
BackonthissideofthePond,bmibaby
is adding ten flights a week between
Glasgow and Cardiff and the company
has also increased frequencies on key
domesticroutes.
In total, bmibaby will fly to 21 Euro-
pean destinations for winter, starting
on 26 October and running until the
end of March. As well as the more
routineinternationalspots,Milan,Mur-
cia, Prague, Krakow and Geneva are
included.
Delta Airlines launched the first ever
non-stop service between Edinburgh
andJFK,NewYork,backinMay.Thedaily
servicetakespassengerstooneofDelta's
keyUShubswhichoffersahugenumber
of onward connections and, of course,
directaccesstotheBigAppleitself.
PIAhasrelaunchedflightsfromGlas-
gow with twice-weekly, year-round
flights to Lahore, one of which contin-
ues on to Faisalabad. The Wednesday
and Sunday flights arrive in Glasgow at
three in the afternoon and depart at
4.45pm. The 4,000-mile direct flight
takesaroundninehours.
Jet2 is introducing an Edinburgh-
Toulouse flight and German Wings has
launched a five-times-a-week Edin-
burghtoCologneoption.
Flybe's winter schedule out of
Aberdeenincreasesthenumberof
flights to 88 a week. As well as
ample London flights, there's
alsothere-introductionofa
numberofpopularroutes
including Belfast City,
Birmingham, Exeter,
London Gatwick,
andSouthampton.
