Builders and craftsmen Ellis Cray
managed the project through every
stage, with the Peplows8217 tastes and
required styles uppermost in their
minds. The project took over two and a
half years to complete, but with
meticulous attention to detail including
the Ketton stone main door, gothic
archway stone window, headers and

amber stained glass hall doorway, we
were greeted by a magnificent American
white oak stairway to the two floors
above. Before venturing upstairs though,
we just had to see the downstairs living
area.
In the main living room stands the
very impressive Victorian fireplace, cast
in 1780, which has moved with the
Peplows from their two previous homes.
The walling has been custom built to
make its new home and it8217s easy to see
why this was one of the essential
