Jamaica Bay, the fourth in a line of luxury yachts built at the
NorthGermanShipyardofSchweers,wasdescribedatherlaunch
in 1987 as the yard's most impressive build to date. Since then
she has enjoyed a complete refit, her interior has been redesigned under
the supervision of Felix Buytendijk Yacht Design and she now boasts an
additional VIP Stateroom and an interior exhibiting the traditional mahogany
joinery work of a true gentleman's yacht by Ruiter of Holland.
An impressive and elegant dining area with oval mahogany table
comfortably seats 12, adjacent to which lies the main salon furnished in
pale fabrics that contrast superbly with dark wood detail. A sky lounge with
gymequipmentandloungingarealeadstotheboatdeckwithmorelounging
and dining areas and to the top deck with an excellent hot tub Jacuzzi.
A nine-month refit was conducted in 2007; all metal and paint work were
redone; teak decks were attended; both main generators were zero timed
and all systems were checked and updated, leaving Jamaica Bay in as fine
a state as the day she was first launched.
