will
never
trouble
the
thousands
of
enthusiasts
who
flock
to
the
UK8217s
only
annual
celebration
of
horror
film,
Dead
by
Dawn,
in
association
with
The
Filmhouse.
Over
four
days,
from
Thursday

at
the
Filmhouse
on
Lothian
Road,
a
hardy
bunch
believes
that
sleep
is
very
much
for
wimps.
On
Friday
,
programmes
start
at
12.30pm
and
run
until
the
wee
hours.
On
Saturday
,
12.30pm
is
also
the
start,
but
there
is
an
all-nighter
,
followed
by
a
similar
marathon
on
Sunday

finishing
at
6am
on

display
at
the

ams,

hibition,
which
runs
at
the
City
Art
Centre

This
is
the
first
Scottish
ex
hibition
of
his
work,
and
as
with
many
other
seem-
ingly
familiar
images,
to
see
them
printed
and
presented
as
they
should
be
will
allow
them
to
be
appreciated
properly
.
Ad
ams
was
a
committed
environmen-
talist,
and
these
images,
tak
en
before
the
advent
of
mass
tourism,
are
a
valuable
record
of
what
the
landscape
was
lik
e
before
the
influx
of
motorised
transport.
Although
the
sweeping
landscapes
are
the
best-known
work,
there
are
also
ex
am-
ples
of
his
portraiture
and
still
lifes.
