14take to the waterdivinghow about...As well as activities on the water8217s
surface, there is also plenty of fun to be
found beneath the waves. Tor Bay has
long been a favourite with the diving
community due to its natural, sheltered
conditions and an abundance of small
coves. The relative warmth of the Gulf
Stream brings a marvellously diverse
population of sea life including corals,
sponges, sea anemones, 64257 sh and marine
crustaceans. Popular locations include
Fairy Cove, Babbacombe Beach and
Brixham Breakwater. For the more
seasoned and adventurous diver,
Shoalstone Reef, Thatchers Rock and
Berry Head offer challenging but
rewarding sub-aqua experiences.
You may not be diving in crystal clear
Caribbean waters but there are still
incredible diving opportunities on offer!Who Can Do It?You8217ll need to have diving experience (see
Training box) before exploring our mysterious
wrecks and corals. Pool taster sessions are an
option so you can learn the basics and a good
open water course will give you everything you
need to become a competent
diver.Required KitDiving schools can provide the equipment
